How Can I Fund my Project?
DARD Funding
A new funding programme for renewable energy projects is now available from the DARD Rural Development Programme - ”Rural Life” stream. The programme provides 50% of eligible project costs up to a maximum of £50,000.00. (Community groups can avail of 75% funding up to a maximum of £170,000)
Funding is also available for 50% of the cost of feasibility studies, engineering drawings, etc. under the technical assistance element of the same programme.

To be eligible to apply for funding, all projects must provide at time of application:
- - An independent feasibility report
- - Planning permission
- - NIE connection agreement quotation
The funding is administered via the Local Action Group offices. Each LAG will use advertisements in your local press to invite applications. Each LAG has its own website and displays information about its local strategy and the type of projects they are seeking to implement. Check this section regularly for updates.
